We Can’t Do It Without YOU!!

It takes a lot to keep a band going and many hands makes for light work!

Here are just a few of the major areas where we need help.

Concessions: Band parents run concessions at all home football, basketball, and soccer games. Volunteers setup, cook, counter work, cleanup, etc. If you look good in a hairnet and latex gloves, this job is for you!

Chaperones: Needed for the safety of our students; ride the bus and supervise students during football games, parades, band trips, etc. We need both men and women. For half time shows, chaperones take instruments to band members that are on the football team and cheerleading squad.

Tuesday afternoon band rehearsal: Chaperone the band room from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM during practice.

Trailer/Load & Equipment Crew: Have a truck or SUV? You can help by pulling our band equipment trailer to the games and overseeing the unloading & loading of instruments and equipment at the game.

Nurse: Goes with the band on all away activities, including home games at Steve Riggs Stadium.

Notary: Medical, permission and volunteer forms.

Uniforms: Help fit, distribute, maintain, and collect uniforms. Ability to do quick uniform repairs minutes before half-time is a plus!!

Fundraising: Tubas don’t grow on trees J Fund raising pays for everything from new instruments to school bus rentals. Students also have the opportunity to raise funds for fees and expenses, especially important in trip years! If you would like to lead or help out with one of our annual fundraisers or have ideas for new ones, this is the area for you!

Telephone: Don’t know what to do with all those roll-over minutes? Always wanted to be a telemarketer? We can help! Sometimes we need to reach parents or volunteers quickly or personally and telephone is still the best way.

Publicity: Develop a publicity network for the band program.

Photographer/Videographer: Capture those once in a lifetime performances! Record half-time performances, concerts, etc. for posterity. Or post-process video & pictures into a DVD show!

Half-Time Announcer: Have the voice of Charlton Heston? Announce the half-time show at the football games!
